For SS’17 collection TALENTED designer Indra Miklava took inspiration in abandoned military bases, where nature has slowly taken over heavy military buildings and expensive war machines. She continued to explore the topic in museum getting a deeper look at historical latvian army uniforms and it’s functional details to later adopt them in her safari style summer collection. Military style has always been close to Indra because of it’s functionality, natural fabrics and sexiness. On the other hand in safari style there are many military details but with completely different, very civil aim - to make the exploring of other countries more comfortable. And while traveling it is possible to conquer other countries taking nothing from them.
Collection consists mostly of cotton, linen, cotton lace blouses and shirtdresses, poplin and linen shirts, complimented with cotton gabardine chino pants and shorts as well as with light cotton jackets, overalls and skirts. Style-wise - from minimal to safari & military, supplemented with extra feminine accents - semi-transparent lace and flounces.
